Hyattsville Resident Advocacy

Because of a recent rise in federal enforcement activities, many of our neighbors now face an immediate risk of detention or being forced from their homes. In response, Council Member Ed Haba has introduced a motion for a $100,000 emergency community support fund.

This fund is a staff-supported, practical way to provide stability for the nearly 1 in 5 Hyattsville residents currently at risk. Best of all, it represents just one quarter of one percent of our total city budget.
